
Dr. Jodie Castellani obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University
of Tennessee-Knoxville. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at University of
Tennessee Professional Psychology Internship Corsortium in Memphis, Tennessee
and her post-doctoral internship at Ridgeview Hospital in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She
was a 3-year recipient of the highly competitive American Psychological Association
Clinical MinorityTraining Fellowship which is awarded to 6-8 nationwide for those
committed to working with under-served populatations such as children, adolescents,
forensics, racial/ethnic minorities and rural populations.
Dr. Castellani has served as a forensic examiner for many years. She is an independently Licensed Psychologist (LP) in both NC and TN with designation as a Health Service Provider. Dr. Castellani is a member of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, the Mecklenburg Psychological Association (MPA), and the North Carolina Psychological Association (NCPA). In addition to her private practice in clinical and forensic psychology, she is an online Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Family Studies and Counseling at Liberty University where she teaches clinical courses in areas such as multicultural issues in therapy, counseling women, professional ethics, and child counseling.
Dr. Castellani’s clinical interests include but are not limited to: depression, anxiety, personality disorders, grief/loss, life stress, phase of life, acculturation/multicultural issues, adoption/foster care, religious problems, infertility, relationship problems, communication issues, and trauma.
